COOKIES

PRIVACY POLICY

We process your personal data exclusively in accordance with applicable law, in particular the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG; new version). Here we inform you about how we handle your personal data.

Controller

This privacy policy applies to data processing by fine Expression.

GENERAL PROVISIONS

PERSONAL DATA

Personal data is data that identifies a person either directly or indirectly.

PURPOSES

We process this data for two main purposes: contract fulfilment and marketing (advertising, newsletters, analysis of our website and your usage of it). We will not sell or otherwise market your personal data to third parties.

RIGHTS

Your data is yours! You have various rights in relation to your data, which you can assert against us. We clearly indicate these at the appropriate points.

YOUR PROTECTION

Our entire website, i.e. all forms in which you enter data, the ordering process and other functions, is secured by SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). This widely used system for the protection of data transmissions (also used for online banking) is a proven method that guarantees the secure handling of your data. You can recognise an SSL connection by the “s” after the http or by a padlock symbol in your browser. We also use other suitable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data.

CONTACTING US

If you contact us by email or via a contact form, the personal data you provide will be stored automatically. We store such data transmitted to us on a voluntary basis for the purpose of processing your request or contacting you.

DATA PROCESSING AND PURPOSES

USE OF OUR WEBSITE

When you visit our website, information is automatically sent from your terminal device to our servers and applications and is stored in a log file.

The following information is stored:

– Browser type/version, operating system, name of your internet provider

– Website or application that brought you to us

– IP address of your device

– URL and name of the page visited

– Date and time of the server request

Processing this data forms the technical basis for your connection to the website, the proper display of the website on your device and an evaluation of system security and stability. Our legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR therefore forms the legal basis for processing your IP address.

WEB TRACKING

We use web tracking or web analysis tools to evaluate your use of our website. Web tracking technologies are technologies that aggregate visits to our websites into statistical data, allowing us to see how visitors use our website. We use this data to make our website more user-friendly, to measure reach and to conduct market research. In doing so, we ensure that the tools used, which only process data according to our instructions our contracted processors, do not link the data collected about your website visits with personal data. Your IP address, if stored at all, is only stored in shortened and thus anonymised form. Optimising our websites and collecting statistical data on usage is in our legitimate interest. We therefore perform data processing with regard to web tracking on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

USE OF GOOGLE ANALYTICS

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies, which are text files placed on your computer, to help analyse your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

In the event that IP anonymisation is activated on this website, however, Google will first shorten your IP address within member states of the European Union or in other signatories to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator.

The IP address transmitted by your browser in conjunction with Google Analytics will not be linked to other Google data. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser. Please note that by doing so, you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent Google from collecting data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser add-on available at the following link (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en).

More information on this is available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en or at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en (general information on Google Analytics and data protection).

Please note that, on this website, the code “ga(‘set’, ‘anonymizeIp’, true);” has been added to Google Analytics to ensure anonymised collection of IP addresses (IP masking).

As an alternative to the browser add-on or in browsers on mobile devices, please click on the link “Deactivate Google Analytics” to prevent data collection by Google Analytics on this website in the future (the opt-out only works in the browser and only for this domain). This will place an opt-out cookie on your device. If you delete your cookies in this browser, you must click this link again.

GOOGLE ADS

This website uses the online advertising program “Google Ads”, which includes conversion tracking. Google Ads saves a cookie on your computer if you have accessed our website via a Google advertisement. These cookies expire after 30 days and do not identify you personally. If the user visits certain pages on our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognise that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. This means that cookies cannot be tracked across Google Ads customers’ websites.

SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS

We offer you online services via various social media platforms in order to provide information there and to contact you.

We have no influence on the processing of personal data by the respective platform operator. When you visit our social media channels, the platform operator generally saves cookies in your browser, which are used to store your usage behaviour or interests for market research and advertising purposes. The platform operators use the usage profiles obtained in this manner to display personalised advertising to you.

This data processing may also affect persons who are not registered as users of the respective social media platform. Under certain circumstances, your data may be processed outside the European Union. However, when selecting such social media platforms, we ensure that the operators undertake to comply with EU data protection standards.

The processing of your personal data when visiting one of our social media services is based on our legitimate interests in a diverse external presentation of our company, the use of an effective information option, and communication with you.

The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. You may also have given a platform operator consent to data processing, in which case Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR forms the legal basis for data processing.
